Senior Portraits w/Mark

From a Longhorn to an Aggie? Well, that’s where one of United’s many outstanding football receivers will be going for his college education.  As if Nick & Serg weren’t enough, the Longhorns had another First Team All-District Wide Receiver in Mark.  Mark also plays baseball for the U and I’m looking forward to taking some more action shots of this youngster in his final season with the Horns.  Mark was a lot quieter than most of the other Seniors I’ve shot but just like the rest of them…a natural in front of the camera.  Good luck on your upcoming baseball season Mark. As always, a few of Joey’s favs…

Senior Portraits w/Serg

Let me introduce you into one of Laredo’s top high school wide receivers of 2010.  I followed a lot of the United football players this past season capturing many action shots of their high powered offense and it was an honor being able to photograph Serg in action.  This young man was selected as the district’s Outstanding Wide Receiver. Serg completed his Senior year with 919 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.  Here are a few of Serg’s senior portraits & action pics from his final season with the Horns. Enjoy!

Senior Portraits w/Kaila

Another Longhorn cheerleader? Why not!? Kaila is the Senior Co-Captain of the Longhorn Cheerleaders.  I’m loving the trend of all these kids taking interest in wanting me to capture their Senior memories.  The fun part about this session was how eager Kaila was to get on the Longhorn statue.  When we finally got to that portion of the shoot I helped Kaila up and we snapped about three pictures and she quickly said…”ok can I get down now? I want to get down..it’s slipper and high up here!” So Freddy you’re not the only one afraid of getting up there! All in all we still had a good time taking Kaila’s pictures.  We shared lots of stories and had lots of laughs throughout the entire photo shoot.  This surely isn’t my first time at this campus for Senior pictures and certainly not my last.  As always, a sneak peak!

Senior Portraits w/Kazandra

What can I say? I’m lucky to be able to have the opprotunity to photograph all these beautiful United Seniors!  I had another great time walking around United’s campus with Kazandra and her friends whom are also JS Seniors!  We had lots of laughs as we pulled off a few acting jobs from the girls walking down the halls in their creative school uniforms.  Kazandra is the team manager for the cheerleading squad at the U and you can just see the energy through her beautiful smile and outgoing personality.  Thank you girls for allowing me to photograph you AGAIN! I’ll be taking more photos of you all throughout the year! As always, a few of my personal favs…

Maria & Albert’s Wedding

It’s been hot all winter long here in Laredo and the day of this beautiful wedding Laredo decided to have a cold, windy, and rainy day.  The weather didn’t stop this couple and their friends & family from turning a small wedding into a big celebration as they started their first dance nice and slow and then kicked it up with a remix of their own. This seems to be a new trend in a lot of the recent wedding’s I’ve been covering.  Albert is a big Ford Mustang fan and drives a really nice Cobra of his own and now he can say his wedding cake was a Mustang as well. This wedding was very unique and traditional at the same time. Thank you Maria & Albert for letting me capture your day.  Here are just a few images from your lovely wedding.

Tuesday Sports with 956 Unlimited

Here’s a shot from my behind the glass mounted camera from the United vs Alexander Boy’s Basketball game which was featured in today 956 Sports Unlimited. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet I suggest you do.  As always, Dennis and his team of writers & photographers are always putting out some fresh material.  Enjoy!

Eliza & Tylers Wedding Album

Here’s another wedding album I did from a wedding I shot back in the summer of 2010.  Eliza & Tyler got hitched in Austin, Texas and their main color at the wedding was navy blue, which is why they chose to go with the navy leather for their album.  Like Ashley & Rogers album they also decided on the matte pages mounted on matte board. Here are a few images for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Ashley & Roger’s Wedding Album

I always photograph the products I deliver to my clients such as their wedding albums.  I shot this wedding back in April and would like to share this beautiful album with all my future brides out there who still haven’t decided on what album they want for their special day.  This album in particular is a brown leather with die-cut image in the front of the couple along with matte pages mounted on hard bound matte board.  I will share more images of other albums in the coming weeks…Enjoy!

Bulldogs vs. Longhorns Highlight Video

The Dawgs payed a visit to their ole’ rivals, the United Longhorns.  Abel & I were there to capture the game from all angles, including behind the glass.   The game lived up to expectations and in case you missed it…here’s a short highlight video of Friday Nights Game.

JS Seniors whom participated in this game, your action photos are already posted in your private galleries.  Underclassmen & JV’ers can email me if you’d like a private gallery setup to purchase action photos.

My camera got hit once during the warm ups and then the ball grazed right by it during the game but all in all I captured about 5 good photos that night with it of action near the rim. I’ll give it another go when the Horns make the trip to Alexander with a wider lens! Here’s one of the few we got from Friday night’s action.

Here’s a picture of the setup of the camera behind the glass.  I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the rig but my good friend Bert Kiefer emailed me a photo he took of the rig for me. Check it out!
