Senior Portraits w/Martha

Getting some Senior Portraits done during Christmas break has been fun and it surely hasn’t stopped.  Today I had the chance to shoot Martha, a Senior Golden Spur for the Nixon Mustangs.  It’s always fun to shoot these girls that are either on the dance team or cheer squad since they pretty much post themselves and always nail their smiles.  I’ve followed Martha at several football games earlier in this year and will continue to capture some more memories for her during the basketball season. Here are some of the shots I have of Martha so far…Enjoy!

Merry Christmas!

I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I hope everyone gets everything they asked Santa for!

Senior Portraits w/Kenny

I have the chance to cover another Alexander Senior and with basketball being my favorite sport to watch and photograph, I’m looking forward to following Kenny.  I got to watch him go to work on my ex high school basketball coach and his Cigarroa Toros last night on the Dawgs home court.  Kenny was all business last night hitting a couple of threes and causing numerous turnovers for the Toros, as he is, if not the quickest on the team, one of the quickest guys on the floor for being on an extremely fast basketball team.  Here are some of K’s casual senior shots as well as some action shots from last night’s game.  Enjoy!

I submitted some photos for the “Youth In Motion” section of our local 956 Sports Magazine and just wanted to share with everyone! Enjoy!

Mary Help 8th Grade Boys Basketball

4 years ago I was a teacher at MHCS where I taught Physical Education.  As a teacher at this small private school we were asked to put in a certain number of volunteer hours and with basketball being one of my favorite sports I volunteered to coach boys basketball.  I was given this big group of 5th grade boys. I continued to coach them the following year (6th Grade) and skipped out on 7th Grade year as I was asked to help coach the 8th grade class of 2009-2010.  Now the little boys I got back in 2006 are mine once again in 2010-2011 and it’s bitter sweet to have the opportunity to coach them as I can’t photograph them as I have in years past. I have pictures dating back to their 3rd grade year and on their final year I have asked a group of photographer friends to help me capture these memorable moments.

Thank you Andy Segovia for helping photograph their first game. Check out Andy’s work at www.andysegovia.com.
