Here is the 2nd pard of our 3 part promo. A big thanks to Davie Dance from Cine De Laredo for helping me out on this project. Although we didn’t get to cover every sport we did cover as many as we could with the number of early bird seniors that signed up for the JS Varsity Team. The JS Varsity team consists of 2012 Seniors in which I follow year round and create a wonderful memory book for them. Hope you enjoy the video! Can’t wait to get on the field and courts around town and start shooting some live action!
After a long and hot Summer, the 2011-2012 school year is almost off and running. Cine De Laredo & I went all over town with various JS Seniors working on a new 3-part series promo video. First & foremost I want to thank my senior clients to participating in this fun project. Tonight I share the first quick teaser video just to give you a sneak peak of the 2 longer parts we will be posting later on. The 2nd part will be released as soon as school starts in late August! Enjoy!
Another fun team photo shoot and this time it’s Baseball, America’s Past Time. We decided to shoot the varsity team photos at the airport in a small 1 hour window of time we were given. With the airports strict rules and policies the pilots were very friendly and helpful in showing the team around and giving us all the opportunity to do a different kind of photo shoot. Everyone who knows me and my work knows that I am not a big fan of post production when it comes to my photography. I like to get the picture as best I can within the camera and not have to fix or touch-up in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, but on this special day the light was harsh and we had no power by the helicopter and just a few minutes to take the photo. We got the team in place, and my main concern was to get a little bit of light under the boys caps so that we could see their faces and just fix the rest in Photoshop. (Which I hate doing by the way). But anyways here is a before & after picture of what I took and what I edited. Special thanks to Bert Kiefer for helping me out at the shoot, Cine De Laredo for the video, and Coach Garcia for the opportunity. Enjoy the photos and video!
THE BEFORE & THE AFTER

Here is a highlight video of the photo shoot! Enjoy!
Being a graduate from United makes it all that much more for me when I get to photograph anything from senior pictures to graduation pictures to prom pictures to sports pictures or anything in between. Some people may say I’m biased in that I cover United more than other schools, but the truth is I can only cover my clients, which become more than clients, they become friends. I’ve watched kids come and go since I started covering high school sports in 2007. Whether it’s former United QB Alvaro Garcia or Alexander’s Basketball Legends Chris Martinez & Andy Garcia, they’ve become friends of mine throughout the years. It’s a privilege and an honor to be able to watch coaches like coach Valdez & Coach Ramos at work in practice. These boys are a different breed from what we were 10 years ago. They’re stronger, faster and more athletic. Although, we do share one thing in common, to this day we still impersonate our coaches![]()
With all that being said, let me introduce you to the 2010-2011 United Longhorn Basketball Team. Just like at Alexander, we had a lot of fun capturing your video & photos and will contunie to do so throughout the remainder of the season. Good luck to both the Blue & Gold and the Orange & White next tuesday!
